EFIS Celebrates 50th Anniversary by Honoring Prof. Klaus Rajewsky with Inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS) is proud to inaugurate the EFIS Lifetime Achievement Award, recognising individuals whose careers have made a profound and lasting impact on the field of immunology and the European immunology community.

The Fondation ACTERIA is pleased to announce the winners of the 2025 ACTERIA Early Career Research Prizes awarded by EFIS.

The prize recognizes outstanding female group leaders in immunology with a cash prize and and a spotlight at ECI 2027 in Florence, Italy. The call for nominations are coordinated jointly by the EFIS Gender & Diversity Task Force and EFIS central offices, with the selection of this year's awardee to be announced in September 2025.

Deadline for the submission of nominations: 30 June 2025

The European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS) and young EFIS (yEFIS), in partnership with the University of Exeter's Department of Psychology, are conducting a study to understand perspectives and experiences in immunology and related fields.

Romanian Immunology Society in the international spot-light

SIR is honored to organize the 8th Edition of the Cancer Immuno Therapy & Immuno MonitoringThis international Congress (31 March - 3rd April) gathered outstanding immunologists from around the world, while congress abstracts are published in the South East European Journal of Immunology.

SIR is proud to announce that post-doc Dr. Elena-Georgiana Dobre, was awarded the EFIS-Immunology Letters Short-Term Fellowship at Université Paris Cité. Under the supervision of Professor Loredana Saveanu, she will conduct research on Immunoglobulin G receptors.

Croatian Immunological Society shares the final report on the Healthcare Online HERO project

The Healthcare Online HERO project, funded by the Central European Initiative (CEI) https://health-online-hero.com/en/, played a crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing reliable information to counteract misinformation about COVID vaccination.The initiative continued post-pandemic to educate the public on immunology and vaccines. The project, supported by the Croatian Science Foundation remains an ongoing effort to provide vital healthcare support and education.

SEEIS 2025

EFIS, in collaboration with the European Journal of Immunology (EJI), is pleased to announce the 14th edition of the South Eastern European Immunology School (SEEIS2025), to be held in Seferihisar, Türkiye. SEEIS2025 continues a longstanding tradition of fostering scientific exchange and education among young researchers, PhD students, and early-career doctors across South Eastern Europe. Selected participants will benefit from free participation, accommodation, and partial travel support.

Applications are open until June 15, 2025.
